Presentation of the new Quality Assurance Board

Lifelong learning

Our University is committed to Quality Assurance in Teaching, Research and the Third Mission, as well as in service organization.

Now online training on the University Quality Assurance System. The training was promoted by the Quality Assurance Board, and delivered with the support of the Teaching and Learning Innovation and Multimedia Technology Centre (CTU), in order to illustrate QA goals, players, requirements, and indicators.

The University Quality Assurance Board, in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Innovation and Multimedia Technology Centre (CTU) and the Professor and Researcher Training Office, has decided to launch a training initiative on the University Quality Assurance (QA) system, with the aim of aligning professors, researchers, and research fellows on the topics of QA and periodic accreditation requirements.

The course is led by Prof. Massimo Tronci, and it consists of three modules:

1.University Quality Assurance – General Principles and Processes;

2.Quality Assurance in Teaching;

3.Quality Assurance in Research.

For information and support, please contact the Professor and Researcher Training Office.

The Quality Assurance Board has been proactively raising awareness and training the academic community on QA processes, also through specific actions for different stakeholders.

Proposed activities include mandatory distance training for technical, administrative and library staff. With the cooperation of the CTU and the Technical, Administrative and Library Staff Legal Management and Staff Policy Branch, and with the support of the General Management Office, we have recorded some training modules on the AVA accreditation process.

As Quality Assurance policies and procedures are student-centred, the Quality Assurance Board includes a student representative.

Moreover, all our students are offered 4 training modules as follows:

    Quality Assurance, ESG and ENQA
    Self-Assessment, Evaluation, Accreditation and Requirements
    The key players in Quality Assurance
    Continuous monitoring tools

Open Badge
“Student Expert in Quality Assurance Processes"

Our University has launched the open badge "Student Expert in Quality Assurance Processes" for student representatives on the Quality Assurance Board, the Independent Evaluation Unit, Teaching Staff-Student Joint Committees and Review Groups.

This badge may be awarded to student representatives on a Quality Assurance body, with at least one-year, who will have proactively participated in the proposed activities and works, taken the ongoing Quality Assurance training course offered by the University and passed the final test.

The release periods are February and July each year. The first releases were made at the end of January 2023.

Please check   our dedicated   web page for details on the proposed badges and the corresponding skills.
