Applied Microbiology and Hygiene

Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to teach the students of the Pharmacy PhD Program on general characteristics of microorganisms, on their biology and pathology. Detailed informations on epidemiology and prophylaxis of infectious diseases will also be part of the course as well as the utilization of microorganisms as vectors for eukaryotic genes expression for gene therapy, prophylaxis and the production of therapeutic compounds.
