Learning objectives
The workshop shows a practical framework to make innovation in the healthcare service sector. Health hacking is a mindset, not a skill set. All people can be health hackers regardless of the expertise and experience they have to offer. It's important to engage a diverse range of stakeholders from inside and outside of the health sector to look at healthcare challenges from a variety of perspectives uncovering fresh insights. The students will know a practical and open approach to research in the field, to analyze and define problems and challenges about the health and wellbeing about the everyday journey of people and healthcare workers in the real life. The workshop is made up of lectures, presentations and activities. The students have to develop a idea/concept to present during the final pitch session.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will know the main tools to analyse the innovation in helthcare sector and he/she will be able to apply them to real case studies.

The laboratory aims at presenting and discussing a practical framework to manage the innovation in services field and in particular within healthcare service sector.
The laboratory will allow students to identify the stakeholders involved in the developemnt and management of innovation in healthcare organizations, in order to identify different perspectives and dynamics that can influence the final outcome of the service.
Prerequisites for admission
There are no specific requirements other than those for the access to the degree programme.
Teaching methods
The laboratory has a highly applicative nature and provides for the active participation of students, organized in working groups. Students will have the opportunity to experience the analysis approach provided with field research, based on a real case study. The laboratory is made up of lectures, presentations and practical activities. Students will be asked to develop an idea / concept to be presented during the final session.

Materials will be provide during the laboratory.
Assessment methods and Criteria
To obtain the validation of the 3 ECTS, minimum participation in 4 out of 5 lessons is required. The presence of students will be detected at each meeting.
The evaluation (with a positive / negative outcome) will be carried out in the light of the active participation during the work sessions and the presentation of the group works during the final session.
