Learning objectives
The integrated course of "Pathology and Hygiene" prepares the student to deal comprehensively and following validated protocols and guidelines, hygiene rules and dedicated behaviors knowing the ideal rules by comparing them to the conditions of the patient's general pathology
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the courses the student will be able, following the validated protocols and guidelines, to know the general pathologies of his interest and to implement both environmental and personal hygiene maneuvers to ensure an environment suitable for the subject under examination

Course syllabus
- Understand the phenomena related to degenerative, phlogistic, neoplastic and dysmetabolic pathology with particular regard to the manifestations affecting the foot summarized by notions of microbiology and general and specific hygiene.
To know the causes and mechanisms of cellular and tissue damage. To understand the functioning of defense systems and tissue repair process. To know the basics of general oncology and dysmetabolic diseases. Particular attention will be paid to manifestations affecting the foot.

Acquire the ability to evaluate epidemiological data and learn about its use for health promotion and prevention of diseases in individuals and communities. Acquire the knowledge of the main laws governing the health organization. Acquire the fundamental notions in the field of social medicine and healthcare organization. Acquire technical skills in hygiene matters (protocols, etc.) in the context of professional activity
