Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide both theoretical and
applied knowledge about husbandry techniques of dairy
and beef ruminants (cattle, sheep, goat) in particular for
intensive farm system.
Expected learning outcomes
skills and tools for technical assessment of different cattle
and goat production systems in order to manage farms as
a technician or consultant.

Dairy cattle breeding: breeding of young animals; dairy cattle welfare; automation and computerization of the farm; profitability and environmental sustainability of dairy and beef cattle breeding. Beef cattle breeding: white meat calf farming; stock breeding and calf production; breeding according to the cow-calf line; health and welfare of beef cattle; Breeding of dairy and beef cattle with organic methods.
