Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR) and its subsequent revisions and updates.
Expected learning outcomes
The expected result in terms of applied competence is the achievement of the level specified for every year for all linguistic-communicative activities: reception (listening and reading), production of written and oral texts, interaction and mediation. The entrance level is detailed in the Prerequisites (none), while the expected goal is detailed in the Syllabus. Written expression: taking notes. Taking notes is a way of gathering information by synthesising it. It is about writing down the essentials as quickly as possible, making choices and decisions without hesitation. During the course, learners take notes from an oral source, developing skills for future work. From their notes, students will prepare written comptes rendus d'écoute thus testing their listening comprehension and written production skills.

Oral expression: oral presentation based on a textual typology. They will be asked to present synthèses of various written documents or commentaries on written texts in front of the class. The course presents an analysis of the characteristics of the French language according to its different styles: academic language, literary language, media, standard language, spoken language, slang... The objective is to help students to recognise these types of registers in order to construct their own discourse and to be able to adapt it to the communicative situation. The bibliography will be provided at the beginning of the courses.
