2nd level vocational master
A.Y. 2025/2026
Study area
Medicine and Healthcare
The Vocational Master in Paediatric Nephrology and Urology aims to develop a specific skill set for those healthcare professionals treating and/or caring for paediatric patients facing nephrological, urological, and nephro-urological diseases. The programme is therefore intended for paediatricians with an interest in this field, as well as nephrologists needing to care for paediatric patients, urologists treating children and adults, as well as paediatric surgeons.
In addition to the specific paediatric and urological training, the core focus of the programme is children with congenital or acquired deformities in their kidneys and urinary system who, over the course of their treatment, will encounter a diverse array of doctors and surgeons, including obstetricians, neonatologists, nephrologists, imaging specialists, urologists, and potentially dialysis technicians and transplant specialists as well.
The Vocational Master, organized by pediatric nephro-urological pathologies experts, with both medical and surgical skills, includes a common part (dedicated to topics of medical and surgical interest) and two different paths (nephrological and urological), which will allow participants to delve into the topics most relevant to their training.
The Vocational Master in Pediatric Nephrology and Urology will consist of 284 hours (31 CFUs) of face-to-face teaching and 216 hours (18 CFUs) of other forms of training in e-learning mode. To complete the programme, students must take a 250 hours (10 CFUs) of internship and a final exam (1 CFUs) consisting of the presentation of a thesis and the discussion of a clinical case with a complex diagnostic-therapeutic path. A total of 60 CFUs are awarded for the vocational master.
