This Master's programme aims to instil the necessary knowledge in students so that they are able to assess and interpret data relating to cancer patients' nutritional status, and to prepare a nutrition plan that optimises caloric intake and nutrients in a manner that accords with the patients' daily nutritional requirements, and their clinical, functional and metabolic status. This educational programme further intends to position dieticians taking care of cancer patients with the tool kit required to provide an upstream assessment (and downstream re-assessment) of all patients' nutritional risks, and to perform an in-depth review of their nutritional status, before proposing a diet that is suitable to their clinical/functional status (diet counselling, tailored diet plans, oral nutritional supplements, total or complementary artificial nutrition). They must be able to assess the impact that the diet plan will have on the patient's outcome.

The master's program will consist of 160 hours (20 ECTS) of face-to-face teaching and 342 hours (19 ECTS) of other forms of training, including 180 hours in e-learning. The activities will be completed by 375 hours (15 ECTS) of internship and a final exam (6 ECTS) consisting of the preparation and discussion of a thesis on a clinical case. A total of 60 CFUs are awarded for the vocational master.

Teaching is structured as follows:

-Nutritional status assessment
-Nutritional diagnosis
-Nutritional support and intervention
-Prevention and research methodologies

The tuition fee for participants will be 2.516 euros.
