Il corso ha lo scopo di preparare tecnici in grado di operare nell?ambito della gestione tecnica, igienica ed economica dell'allevamento animale. Saranno approfonditi gli aspetti di efficienza produttiva e riproduttiva, del benessere animale e dell'impatto ambientale degli allevamenti nonché la tutela della biodiversità e delle produzioni locali. Il laureato saprà coniugare il miglioramento quantitativo e qualitativo delle produzioni animali con il benessere e la sanità degli animali allevati in un'ottica di salute ambientale.
Il titolo finale di dottore in Allevamento e Benessere Animale viene conferito a studenti che abbiano acquisito le conoscenze sopracitate ed abbiano sviluppato la capacità di applicarle in contesti lavorativi specifici. I laureati saranno inoltre in grado di comunicare le loro conoscenze e di trasferire le loro abilità tecniche nel mondo del lavoro, in un rapporto di confronto con operatori nazionali ed internazionali anche provenienti da ambiti tecnico-scientifici diversi.
I laureati in Allevamento e Benessere Animale potranno acquisire conoscenze scientifiche e capacità applicative nel corso di soggiorni di studio e ricerca presso istituzioni italiane ed estere, anche extrauniversitarie, nel quadro di accordi internazionali.
I laureati troveranno sbocco occupazionale nei seguenti ambiti professionali:
- operatori tecnici della gestione alimentare, genetica, igienica ed economica degli allevamenti degli animali da reddito e da compagnia, nel rispetto del benessere animale;
- operatori tecnici della gestione di imprese agro-zootecniche, di industrie mangimistiche ed integratoristiche;
- operatori tecnici della sostenibilità ambientale ed energetica degli allevamenti intensivi ed estensivi, comprensivi della gestione delle nuove tecnologie energetiche rinnovabili;
- operatori tecnici della gestione di aziende agrituristiche che producono alimenti di origine animale legati al territorio;
- operatori tecnici dei sistemi zootecnici estensivi e biologici nel rispetto delle risorse naturali e a tutela della biodiversità;
- operatori di laboratorio per le analisi dei mangimi e degli alimenti di origine animale;
- operatori tecnici della gestione di attività commerciali nel settore degli animali da reddito e da compagnia.

Employment statistics (Almalaurea)
Il programma di mobilità Erasmus+ per gli studenti del Corso di Studi è previsto nell'ambito di accordi bilaterali formalizzati con Università partner. Durante la mobilità all'estero con il programma Erasmus+ ai fini di studio, gli studenti possono frequentare una delle Università partner per svolgere attività formative sostitutive di una parte del proprio piano di studi. Tali attività prevedono la frequenza di corsi e i relativi esami presso l'Università straniera per l'acquisizione di crediti formativi riconosciuti nell'ambito del Corso di Studio.
Il programma di internazionalizzazione del Corso di Studio attraverso Erasmus+ traineeship, permette anche di svolgere un tirocinio formativo all'estero presso Università, centri di ricerca, istituzioni e laboratori stranieri.
La frequenza non è obbligatoria ma fortemente consigliata

Trasferimenti e seconde lauree
Per l'a.a. 2022/23 sarà attivo solo il terzo anno del corso. Gli studenti già iscritti ad un corso di laurea dell'Università degli Studi di Milano, ad altro Ateneo o già laureati, possono iscriversi a questo corso solo se ammessi al terzo anno.
A tal fine deve essere presentata apposita richiesta di valutazione preventiva della carriera accedendo al servizio online indicato nel bando di ammissione.
Gli interessati dovranno dichiarare tutti gli esami sostenuti con relativi settori, crediti e voti e allegare i programmi dei corsi. Per maggiori dettagli sulla procedura si rinvia al bando.

1 - Nel corso del III anno è prevista l'attivazione di insegnamenti a libera scelta dello studente. The tuition fees for students enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's and single-cycle degree programmes are divided into two instalments with different calculation methods and payment schedules:

  • The amount of the first instalment is the same for all students
  • The amount of the second instalment varies according to the ISEE University value, the degree programme and the student status (on track / off track for one year or off track for more than a year) 
  • An additional fee is due for online programmes

The University also offers:

  • Concessions for students meeting high merit requirements
  • Diversified tuition fees according to the student's home country for international students with assets/income abroad
  • Concessions for international students with refugee status

Scholarships and benefits

The University provides a range of financial benefits to students meeting special requirements (merit, financial or personal conditions, international students).
