Sustainable mobility
The university supports the use of sustainable means of transport to and from its various premises through studies, solutions and measures to reduce private transport in favour of public and collective transport in the form of car sharing and carpooling with zero-emissions vehicles.
In particular, the university makes use of the Home-Office Commuting Plan, provided for by Decree no. 179/2021 of the Ministry of Ecological Transition in agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, to describe the habits of its university community and propose concrete actions to encourage sustainable mobility.
Among the actions implemented:
- subsidies for the purchase of travel passes with local public transport companies and private companies (ATM-STIBM, TRENORD and Io viaggio ovunque in Lombardy, Trenitalia) and agreements with bike sharing, electric moped sharing, car sharing (including electric vehicles), electric scooter, collective bus transport and car park companies
- smart working to reduce pressure on city and regional traffic
- rationalisation of parking areas at the various university premises
- participation in university and regional working groups on sustainable mobility.
