Learning objectives
The course aims at training a professionist able to develop, create and evaluate different resources to exploit physical activity for improving and promoting correct and sustainable lifestyles. The course foresees a theoretical part on approaches and models of planning in the health field, and another part on the management of resources and tools suitable to make projects real. In the practical sessions, one or more projects for wellness promotion will be outlined in a teamwork or individually. The concept of stress will be debated extensively, and a method of anti-stress training, known as "Mindful Running" will be shown. Mindful Running or "applied meditation to running" is inspired by numerous psychological and human studies on the theme of "mindfullness", which is applied to the human movement by means of a codified training. Mindful Running is also an interesting and novel way to analyze the multifaceted setting of the individual wellness.
Expected learning outcomes
Abilities to design projects and theoretical knowledge on the psycho-physical wellness will be acquired. Moreover, students will acquire a efficacious comunication and relational competences for collaborative projects and network. The method of "Mindful Running", arisen from the "Mindfullness", will be taught: this is a technical expertise useful in sports at professional level.
