Requirements and call for applications for admission 2019

Only students who graduate from the University of Milan are entitled to register for the exam to qualify to practice as Medical Practitioners, in accordance with the conditions laid down in the call for applications: 

  • Graduates in Medicine and Surgery according to the procedures prior to the entry into force of Ministerial Decree 509/99
  • Graduates in Medicine and Surgery, second cycle degree (laurea specialistica), class 46/S
  • Graduates in Medicine and Surgery, Master’s degree, class LM/41

The 2020 call for applications for the State Board Exam to qualify as Medical Practitioners will be published on Monday, 17 February 2020.

2020 State Board Exam - Postgraduate internship

2020 State Board Exam - Postgraduate internship

Students of the Degree Programme in Medicine of the University of Milan who will graduate in the third session of the Academic Year 2018/2019 will be able to choose their post-graduate internship tutors (April, May and June) using the internship tutor selection procedure for the Medical Practitioner Qualifying Exam from 10 am on 17 February to 26 February 2020.

To access the online procedure, login with your university credentials (name.surname@studenti.unimi.it). Available tutors will be displayed for each type of internship and for each month. Upon selection, both the tutor and the candidate will be notified, and the appointment can only be changed once for each type of tutor.

The choice of tutors is automatically valid as registration for the 2020 session of the State Board Exam, subject to the payment of the following fees. You can pay online through Pago PA using the Payment management service from 26 February to 6 March 2020:

  • Payment of € 49.58 to Inland Revenue (Agenzia delle Entrate) as State Board Exam registration fee;
  • Payment of € 400.00 to the University of Milan as university fee.

Notes:

  • In order to register, choose your tutors and pay the fees
  • Registrations after the deadline will not be accepted
  • Applications by candidates from other locations will not be accepted
2020 State Board Exam - Undergraduate internship

Enrolled 6 year and behind schedule: internship choiche and state board exam registration

Students  who are enrolled in the sixth year of the Degree Programme in Medicine of the University of Milan, or are one year behind schedule but have passed exams up to the fourth year, and carry out the practical internship within their Degree programme will be able to choose their internship tutors (April, May and June) using the internship tutor selection procedure for the Medical Practitioner Qualifying Exam from 2 to 6 March 2020.

To access the online procedure, login with your university credentials (name.surname@studenti.unimi.it). Available tutors will be displayed for each type of internship and for each month. Upon selection, both the tutor and the candidate will be notified, and the appointment can only be changed once for each type of tutor.

Enrolled 5 year: internship choice

Students enrolled in the fifth year of the Degree Programme in Medicine of the University of Milan that have passed exams up to the fourth year will be able to choose their internship tutors in the area of internal medicine and surgery from 10 March to 20 March 2020.

  • Registrations after the deadline will not be accepted
