Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short forms of mixed mobility characterised by a mandatory physical and virtual component. The physical mobility can last from 5 to 30 days, depending on the programme.
They are designed and implemented by at least three European universities. The physical component can be held at the University of Milan or at a host institution abroad.
BIPs award a minimum of 3 ECTS credits to participating students.
Throughout the year, the calls for Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are published on the "Search for an international opportunity" page.
Applications are submitted through the Elixforms platform indicated in the respective calls, along with the required documentation.
After the selection process and the publication of the results on the relevant call's webpage, the winning students are contacted by the International Mobility and Promotion Office to receive instructions on the forms and documents to be completed.
Specifically, before the start of the BIP, it will be necessary to complete:
- Mobility Agreement, filled in and signed;
- Bank data form, to be completed online for the payment of the Erasmus grant. Note: the scholarship is recognised only for the period actually spent at the host institution;
- Learning Agreement, filled in and signed.
Have your Certificate of Stay signed. It is possible to use the template available in this section or a form provided by the host institution, which includes the start and end dates of your physical and virtual mobility.
Within 10 days of the end of the BIP, you must submit to the International Mobility and Promotion Office, by opening a ticket on InformaStudenti > International > Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP):
- Final Certificate of Stay, duly signed by the host institution and certifying the start and end dates of the physical and virtual mobility;
- Learning Agreement, duly completed and signed by the student, Unimi BIP's coordinator, and the BIP coordinator of the host university;
- Transcript of Records (ToR) / certificate certifying the activities carried out and the number of credits obtained, issued by the host institution.
The recognition of ECTS credits in the student's academic record is not carried out by the International Mobility and Promotion Office. For recognition purposes, the student must send the Learning Agreement, the Certificate of Stay, and the ToR / certificate of the activities carried out and the number of credits obtained to the relevant Erasmus Office or the academic coordinator for their study area. The contact details are available on this page.
