Open semester exams
The three end-of-course exams will be held one after the other, on the same dates and at the same time in all universities that have organised the open semester. There will be two exam dates:
- 20 November 2025 (exams start at 11:00)
- 10 December 2025 (exams start at 11:00)
Each exam will last 45 minutes, with a 15-minutes break between one exam and the other.
Each exam consists of 15 multiple-choice questions and 16 sentence completion questions, for a total of 31 questions.
Exams are graded on a scale of thirty (30), plus 1 point for honours (lode). For the purpose of the ranking, points are awarded as follows:
- 1 point for each correct answer;
- 0 points for no answer;
- minus 0.10 points for each wrong answer.
A maximum of 93 points can be awarded for the three exams together.
If you fail any of your exams on the first date or decide not to accept the grade obtained, you will be able to re-sit your exam(s) on the second available date.
Candidates with disabilities and/or SLD who wish to be granted accommodations and aids during the exams must complete the online request form.
At the end of the teaching period, the University has verified students' compliance with minimum attendance requirements for each of the three courses included in the open semester.
The file Participants list – 1st exam date contains the ID number of all students who have been registered for the exams, including details on which exams they can or cannot take.
On 20 November 2025 all participants, regardless of the number of exams they must take, must arrive to the exam venue at 09:00 carrying the valid identity document indicated during registration.
The exams will take place on the Città Studi campus; the exact rooms is posted in the file Aule di svolgimento esami semestre aperto - Appello 1.
