How to register

Results

With the continuing impact of COVID-19, and for the foreseeable future, exam results will be delayed. For exams taken until July 2021, results will be available no earlier than 60/75 days starting from the exam date. For exams taken from August 2021, results will be available 6-9 weeks from the end of the key assessment date.

Green Pass requirement

In compliance with the regulations laid down by Cambridge Assessment English, Cambridge English exams must be sat in person at authorised centres and under supervision; therefore, it is not possible to sit the exam remotely. Exams are being held in person and, therefore, open to candidates holding the Covid-19 certificate, i.e. green pass. The green pass is issued also to unvaccinated individuals with a negative molecular (or rapid antigen) test result in the last 48 hours, or those who have recovered from Covid19. For further details, please refer to each exam call and to the relevant university regulations.

Candidates with disabilities or SLDs

Candidates with disabilities or with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs) who wish to receive special arrangements and support for the exam must provide an accurate English translation of their relevant medical documentation and send it via email to esamicambridge@unimi.it when registering for the exam. The translation must include which kind of special arrangements the candidate would like to receive. SLAM will then forward this request to Cambridge Assessment English, which will decide if and which arrangements to provide. For further details, please refer to the official call.

Exam Sessions

There are two six-level CELI exam sessions during the year: a summer session - in June - and an autumn session - in November. Moreover, there is a spring session - in March - for the first four levels. Visit the CVCL website for exam dates.

Exams take place simultaneously. Therefore, it is not possible to access more than one level in the same session.

The public call for the exams on November 22nd and 23rd is available below, both in Italian and in English language. Registration is possible until October 15th at 12:00.

Absent candidates

Any candidates who cannot sit the exam because they are sick must submit a medical certificate to justify their absence and can only sit the exam in the very following session at the same centre, without paying the fee. They must in any case submit a regular application within the established deadline.
Any reasons for absence other than sickness, as duly justified, will be evaluated by the CVCL on a case-by-case basis.

Results

To pass CELI exams, candidates must achieve the minimum score both in the written and in the oral part, as shown in the relevant descriptions on the CVCL website.
Candidates who did not pass the written part (consisting of the following sections: Reading Comprehension, Written Production, Linguistic Competence - starting from CELI 3 - and Listening Comprehension), but passed the oral part, or vice versa, can capitalize on their partial result and resit the failed exam part within a year, paying 70% of the total fee.
