Fees and payments

A.Y. 2023-24

The annual enrolment fee for Academic Year 2023/2024 is €980, including the regional tax and the stamp duty required by law.

The following students are exempt from payment (except for the €156 fee for the regional tax and stamp duty):

  • doctoral students receiving scholarships from the University of Milan
  • beneficiaries of grants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • beneficiaries of DSU Scholarships (Education Incentive Programme)

For scholarships made available by other Universities or Organizations and indicated in the call for applications, the payment (except for the €156 fee) will be made by the sponsors.

For beneficiaries of Doctoral scholarship (awarded based on the calls for admission) the €156 fee will be deducted from the scholarship payment. All other students are required to pay within the matriculation deadline.

Students with handicap and with a certified disability greater than 66% and/or a recognised handicap pursuant to Law No. 104/1992 are exempt from the payment of the regional tax, also.

Education Incentive Programme for doctoral students with no scholarship

Students who are regularly enrolled into doctorate programmes are entitled to apply for scholarships and income supplements, provided they are not beneficiaries of scholarships or research grants.
