How do I register for the course?

Log in using your university credentials, give your consent for the processing of your personal data and complete the short survey by 10 November. Once you have registered, keep an eye on your @studenti.unimi.it email address for further details. The first edition of the course will be available in the coming weeks.

Through the Count with us project, the University of Milan supports the economic and financial education of its students as they face the high cost of living, pay rent and utility bills or purchase travel passes: all of these are sources of stress that jeopardise the right to education, academic performance and, in general, the mental and physical wellbeing of students.

As part of the project, the university offers an online course in economic and financial education titled "Cash and the City". Delivered in two editions on the Moodle platform, it consists of short video episodes providing practical advice on personal finance, with the aim of helping students to better manage their financial resources. Completion of the course, which can be accessed after completing a short online survey to identify training needs on the topic, entitles students to an Open Badge.

The first 50 students to complete the online course will enjoy free one-to-one support by a certified third-sector financial educator.

1. Why a series of lessons on economics and personal finance?

To help you manage your monthly budget, including rent, train travel, coffee and public transport passes.

2. What will you learn?

To manage daily expenses, protect yourself from unsustainable debt and unforeseen expenses, and to gain awareness of your economic rights and achieve your future goals.

3. How does it work?

The course is available online and you can follow it wherever and whenever you want. It consists of 20 video episodes, each lasting 20 minutes, and entitles you to a digital Open Badge certifying the knowledge you have acquired.

"Cash and the City"

The Cash and the City online course was presented on 27 October at 14.30 in the Sala Malliani and online via Teams.
