Learning objectives
The Laboratory "Sustainability and Sustainable Development" in 4 credits ), has been selected for students in science and technology of catering, It is strictly multi- and inter-disciplinary and pivoted on case studies of incidence and global scope. It has a contextual incidence as well, in that the multi and inter-disciplinary teaching aims at enabling the student to individuate the competences in her/his same institution in terms of sustainability management. The skills the Lab is offering to the students are expected to better accomplish and disseminate sustainable behaviors.
Expected learning outcomes
Via an ascertained attendance at the 75% of the lessons required for the selected credits, and with a final thesis proportionate in its length to the number of credits chosen, is expected to demonstrate the students' comprehension of the essential characteristics of sustainability and know how to apply means and measures of sustainability or evaluate their impact to a case study, even imagining strategies to be applied in the field of study they have undertaken.

(1) SUSTAINABILITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
- Conceptual map of the course and presentation of initiatives related to RUSS and Sustainable Campus, including the University's Research Centers on Human/Environmental Sustainability (1 hour)
- The transition from MDGs to SDGs: economic perspectives (1 hour)
- SDGs: perspectives from the development-cooperation sector (1 hour)
BRAINSTORMING SESSION (2) CLIMATE CHANGE
- Definition and impact of climate change (2 hours)
BRAINSTORMING SESSION (3) ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: LAND, WATER AND AIR

Prerequisites for admission
AAA ENROLLMENT CLOSED at 08:29 of the 1st February/ Accepted 150 out of the original limit of 100 students to be enrolled.

Being a student in science and technology of catering.
The course is offered to all faculties of the University without distinction. Each Degree Program has specified in its educational offer, among the supplementary activities, for how many Credits students enrol in the laboratory (offered in the modalities of 3, 4, 6 and 3+3 credits). The Student is required to inquire.
SUBSCRIBERS only can access both website and materials.

Teaching methods
Lezioni on-line per lo più in sincrono, con integrazione di elementi multimediali e diffusione di brevi bibliografie essenziali per materia.
Teaching Resources
Documents, short bibliographies and lessons will be published on the Lab website https://labsossvil.ariel.ctu.unimi.it/, accessible to the enrolled students only.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The evaluation for approval will be calculated on the verification of the presence at 75% of the lessons of the selected CREDITS and a THESIS of mx. 12 pp., composed by a page of evaluation of the lab and the deepening of a case study chosen with one of the teachers (mx. 10 theses per teacher). Plagiarism (i.e. copying parts of other author's texts without quoting them) will be excluded from evaluation.
