Nutrition for Prevention and Longevity

Learning objectives
The learning objectives will be to focus on the study of the link between optimanl nutrition, lifestyle, nutritional-related pathologies, inheredited diseases and longevity in pets, increasing the knowledge on aging processes and health stauts.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will gain knowledge, skills and abilty on:
- The main factors influencing life span in pets
-Formulation of diets and nutritional plans understanding of the biological process that influence ageing,
-nutritional strategy to reduce the gap between lifespan and healthspan,
-dietary strategies to prevent chronic and nutritional-related diseases development.
-Bioactive ingredients of the diets
-Managing hereditary disorders with breeding programs
-Read the results of pedigree
-Communication and autonomous study for a continous scientific update process
-Use of specific scientific terminology
