Enrolment on a second degree programme

Those already holding a degree can enrol on a second degree programme of equivalent level or lower than the one already completed. Students enrolled on a second degree programme can request the recognition of exams from their previous studies, within the limits established by each individual programme for the maximum number of university exams/credits that can be recognized and transferred.

Those who wish to enrol on Bachelor's or Master's degree programmes with an entrance examination or an evaluation test are generally required to sit an admissions test. The requirements for exemption from the test, where permitted, are indicated in the individual calls for application.

Check the requirements specified in the calls for application.

Bachelor's and single-cycle degree programmes

Those who wish to enrol on bachelor's or single-cycle degree programmes should select "student with a degree" to start the online enrolment procedure.

During the enrolment procedure applicants are required to upload their self-certification of previous university studies; this is not required of those who completed a degree at the University of Milan.

The first instalment of enrolment fees includes an additional 75 euro charge for recognition of previous University studies.

After the evaluation of previous studies by the appropriate academic bodies, the student is sent a copy of the decision regarding the recognition of studies by email to the studenti.unimi.it account assigned by the University.

Always check your @studenti.unimi.it account, and make sure you read all official communications sent by the University.

Master's degree programmes

Application for admission to Master's programmes is through the online admissions procedure.

Students can enrol only after their interview or after taking the evaluation test for the selected programme. Select “student with a degree" to start the online enrolment procedure.

During the enrolment procedure, applicants are required to upload their self-certification of previous university studies; this is not required of those who completed a degree at the University of Milan.

After evaluation by the appropriate academic bodies, the student is sent a copy of the validation decision by email to the studenti.unimi.it account assigned by the University.

Disabled students

Student with a documented disability (article 3, comma 1, Law 104/1992) or with civil invalidity equal to or greater than 66% are exempt from payment of fees and are only required to pay the 16 euro administrative charge.
