Studying Medicine and Surgery
The lectures and teaching activities are organized into two semesters:

from October to December – first semester

from February to May – second semester

Bachelor's and master's degree programmes in Medicine have a cap on enrolment.
The dates of the entrance examinations, as well as the procedures and content of the entrance examinations are defined on a national level through Ministerial Decrees.
L'accesso ai Corsi di Laurea e Laurea Magistrale in Biotecnologie (classe L-2 e LM-9) e al Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Scienze cognitive e processi decisionali è disciplinato annualmente da quanto assunto negli specifici bandi a livello locale nei quali vengono definite: la data delle prove di ammissione, le modalità e i contenuti delle prove.
L'unico Corso di Studio ad accesso libero della Facoltà in Medicina e Chirurgia è il corso di Laurea magistrale in Management delle aziende sanitarie e del settore salute.
Students enrolled in bachelor's and master's degree programmes in the Area of Medicine must obtain a certain number of credits in electives through seminars, internships, participation in conferences and conventions or summer school courses in order to have access to the final exam.
The elective credits (CFU) can also be obtained through participation in an Erasmus programme.
