Research platforms

UNITECHs are platforms to support university researchers' creativity; they provide the latest equipment so as to enhance international competitiveness and encourage participation in research programmes.

UNITECHs provide high-level multidisciplinary technical assistance and services, both inside and outside the University, to stimulate development and innovation in a context that favours the encounter of diverse research fields.

With a view to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the University’s research, UNITECHs aim to rationalize the use of University resources (human, economic, logistic) that are given over to research, by grouping these into cutting-edge platforms.

This platform is dedicated to the structural and compositional characterization of substances and materials through spectroscopy and diffractometry. Highly qualified personnel able to rationalize and interpret results use powerful investigation methods to study the structure and composition of complex molecular systems.

  • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy
  • Mass spectrometry
  • Electron microscopy
  • Diffractometry
  • Surface Plasmon Resonance

Unitech OMICs

The Unitech "OMICs" Platform was created to support proteomic, lipidomic and metabolomic studies based on mass spectrometry to identify and quantify molecules in different biological matrices and plant extracts. The members of the Scientific Committee are experienced in various areas of the life sciences and will also be able to provide advice on experimental design, sample preparation and data analysis.
