Transferring from another university
How to transfer

In order to transfer to this University, students enrolled at other universities must verify that they can enrol at the University of Milan and submit a transfer application to the university of origin.

Transfering to a Bachelor's or single cycle degree programme

All those who intend to transfer to a Bachelor's or single-cycle Master's degree programme must comply with the procedures and deadlines set out in the call for applications to the target programme, which will specify waivers from tests and assessments, if any.

Enrolment

If the call for applications does not provide any specific procedures for transfers, once you have passed the selection process, you may enrol using the online procedure within the deadlines set by the call.

During the online procedure, select "Enrolment with transfer from another university" and upload the following:

  • self-certification of previous university studies
  • receipt of the transfer application submitted to another university of origin
Request for previous career assessment

The request for previous career assessment of the student's academic career must be submitted only if required by the call for applications, and only for Bachelor's and single-cycle degree programmes. Please review the call for applications for the deadlines and any transcript requirements.

For the request for previous career assessment a 75 Euro fee is due.

Requirements: the applicant must already be enrolled on the same degree programme at another university.

Number of places available: transfers are accepted on the basis of places left vacant by students who decline the offer, transfer or withdraw from studies. See the table of available places.

Evaluation criteria: for the admission will be formulated a ranking list on the basis of the following criteria:

  1. Number of exams passed
  2. Number of CFU achieved
  3. Weighted average of grades

Priority will be given to students with regular career. The recognition of the CFU obtained in a foreign university and possible qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Application deadline: the application form will be available from monday 19 July 2021, 9.00 a.m. to friday 27 August 2021,12 noon

Procedure: only requests submitted by the deadline through the online procedure that will be published soon will be processed.

Recognition of previous studies: special cases

Medicine, Dental Medicine, Health professions, Exercise and Sports Sciences

For single-cycle Master's degree programmes in Medicine and Dental Medicine and for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in the Health professions and Exercise and Sports Sciences, students are required to fill in the request form specifying the exams for which they seek transfer credits.

The application, to be submitted through the InformaStudenti platform, must attach a self-certification of the student's previous career (even if uploaded when applying for admission) and the syllabi for exams taken. Hard-copy documents shall not be accepted.

The request deadline is:

  • For Medicine and Dental Medicine: ten days after enrollment.
  • For Health professions and Exercise and Sports Sciences: 29 October 2021.

The request can be submitted once and cannot be amended or supplemented later.

Transfering to a Master's degree programme

All those who intend to transfer to a Master's degree programme must comply with the procedures and deadlines for admission to the target programme.

Once Admitted, you may enrol using the online procedure within the deadlines set in the call for applications or the Study Programme.

During the online procedure, select "Enrolment with transfer from another university" and upload the following:

  • self-certification of previous university studies
  • receipt of the transfer application submitted to another university of origin
