Il Corso di Studio in Scienze delle Produzioni Animali prepara i laureati ad operare nelle aziende agro-zootecniche quali esperti nelle tecnologie di allevamento e nella gestione degli animali da reddito, nel miglioramento genetico, nella
riproduzione, nell'alimentazione e nel razionamento animale e nella gestione economica, con particolare riferimento alla tutela del benessere animale, al contenimento dell'impatto ambientale e al miglioramento qualitativo delle produzioni
animali.
Il corso fornisce conoscenze e competenze utili alla gestione di tutti gli aspetti tecnici, economici e normativi delle imprese agro-zootecniche e dell'allevamento degli animali da reddito. Il laureato è in grado di valutare le attitudini produttive e
funzionali degli animali di interesse zootecnico e di considerarle ai fini delle scelte a livello aziendale, tenendo conto dei fattori ambientali, etici ed economici in funzione della conformità alla legislazione vigente.
Il laureato è in grado di pianificare a livello aziendale la gestione della riproduzione, la selezione e gli accoppiamenti e di applicare le tecniche dell?inseminazione artificiale. Il laureato gestisce le fasi di crescita ed è in grado di formulare
razionamenti e mangimi per tutte le specie di animali produttrici di alimenti per l'uomo. Ha inoltre le competenze per eseguire l'analisi dei costi e della redditività delle aziende agro-zootecniche. Il laureato acquisisce le metodologie per
organizzare e gestire gli aspetti legati alla produzione degli alimenti di origine animale, le tecnologie, l'igiene, il controllo qualità e la certificazione.
Il corso si propone di raggiungere i seguenti obiettivi formativi:
- fornire adeguata conoscenza dei settori delle diverse filiere delle produzioni animali negli aspetti di base, teorici ed applicativi;
- formare laureati dotati della capacità di adeguarsi all'evoluzione delle produzioni animali alla luce delle innovazioni tecnologiche e gestionali e di interagire con le figure professionali culturalmente contigue;-
- formare laureati capaci di senso critico, di autonomia, di lavorare in gruppo - anche all?interno di gruppi interdisciplinari e di inserirsi prontamente negli ambienti di lavoro;
- preparare laureati che siano in grado di utilizzare, oltre all'italiano, almeno una lingua dell'Unione Europea, anche in riferimento al contesto delle produzioni animali;
- fornire ai laureati strumenti e competenze che permettano loro di inserirsi subito dopo la laurea in contesti lavorativi o professionali oppure di proseguire gli studi in corsi di laurea magistrale o in master di I livello.
- formare laureati esperti in grado di operare e comunicare nei diversi ambiti delle scienze animali in particolare quello zootecnico intensivo ed estensivo, della sicurezza alimentare, mangimistico, di trasformazione e commercializzazione dei
prodotti di origine animale.
Profilo professionale: tecnico delle produzioni animali
Il tecnico delle produzioni animali opera come dipendente e/o imprenditore e/o consulente in:
- aziende agro-zootecniche;
- centri di selezione genetica e associazioni di razza;
- aziende che producono impianti, strutture e attrezzature per la zootecnia;
- imprese agro-alimentari e della grande distribuzione organizzata;
- aziende mangimistiche, caseifici, industrie delle carni e macelli;
- aziende fornitrici di servizi (genetici, nutrizionali, riproduttivi) alle aziende agro-zootecniche;
- consorzi di tutela e organizzazioni professionali;
- enti territoriali pubblici;
- laboratori per il controllo della qualità e sicurezza degli alimenti per animali da reddito e dei prodotti di origine animale;
- organizzazioni nazionali e internazionali.

Requisiti e conoscenze per l'accesso
Il Corso di Laurea in Scienze delle Produzioni Animali è ad accesso libero con test di autovalutazione obbligatorio prima dell'immatricolazione. Possono essere ammessi al Corso di Laurea in Scienze delle Produzioni Animali i candidati in
possesso del diploma di scuola media superiore o titolo estero equipollente ai sensi del D.M. 22 ottobre 2004 n. 270.

Modalità e verifica delle conoscenze
Chi intende iscriversi al corso di laurea in Scienze delle Produzioni Animali ad accesso libero prima di formalizzare l'iscrizione dovrà obbligatoriamente sostenere un test che verifichi la sua preparazione iniziale e che consenta una scelta
più motivata e consapevole al corso di studio. Il test (TOLC - Test On Line CISIA) può essere sostenuto presso l'Università degli Studi di Milano o una qualsiasi altra Università aderente al CISIA (Consorzio Interuniversitario Sistemi Integrati per
l'Accesso). Le iscrizioni al TOLC vanno effettuate sul sito del CISIA (www.cisiaonline.it).
Il TOLC per l'iscrizione al corso di laurea in Scienze delle Produzioni Animali è il TOLC-AV di autovalutazione obbligatorio non vincolante (Test On Line Agraria e Veterinaria), composto dalle seguentisezioni: Biologia, Chimica, Fisica, Matematica,
Logica e Comprensione Verbale.

Obblighi formativi aggiuntivi e modalità di recupero
Il risultato del test, anche se negativo, non pregiudica la possibilità di immatricolarsi, ma, se insufficiente, dà luogo a obblighi formativi aggiuntivi (OFA) volti a colmare le lacune iniziali. Alle matricole che non avranno raggiunto, nella
sezione di matematica, il punteggio definito dal bando di ammissione saranno assegnati Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi (OFA). Per gli studenti con OFA verranno organizzate attività di supporto, seguite da una prova di recupero con la quale lo
studente dovrà dimostrare di aver migliorato la propria preparazione. In assenza di questa evidenza, lo studente non potrà sostenere alcun esame del secondo anno prima di aver superato l'esame di Matematica e Fisica.

For students enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's and single-cycle degree programmes, tuition fees are to be paid in two instalments:

  • the amount of the first instalment is the same for all students and is due upon enrolment
  • the amount of the second instalment varies according to each student's ISEE University value and the degree programme in which they are enrolled
  • for international students with income and assets abroad, the second instalment varies according to their country of origin.
