University Council

The University Council serves as a link between the University of Milan and institutions representing the regional and socio-economic system.

In particular, the University Council advises the University and makes proposals to foster collaboration with the world of work in addressing shared needs. It therefore supports all initiatives involving the University's career guidance and placement services and identifies the skills and competencies required by the labour market.

In particular, the University Council:

  • establishes mechanisms to promote social dialogue between the University and the external economic and institutional stakeholders represented within the Council itself;
  • monitors the effectiveness of the University's actions within local governance and socio-productive contexts in relation to the development of opportunities in the area;
  • develops an open network of relations among economic and institutional actors operating in the area, also through initiatives, conferences and activities on specific topics concerning the University's development within the regional productive context;

identifies financial resources to support the University's development projects within the region, in alignment with the local socio-productive context.
